June 4th, Vienna, Austria, there was a meeting of OSCE member nations within the Forum for Security Co-operation.
Thanks to its own sources, Stopfake.org is in possession of photographs that were demonstrated in this meeting by representatives of the Russian delegation; the photos were shown as examples of Ukraine’s undertaking of the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO) in the country’s east (in Sloviansk and Donetsk).
Among these photos there is one fake. It is a photo of a helicopter with UN markings; allegedly, the helicopter was used by the Ukrainian military during its operation in the Donbass area, in late May.
In reality, this photo was taken April 1st, 2011, in Abidjan (Cote d’Ivoire).
The original of this photo was earlier published here.
Recall, that Russian media outlets have already utilized this photograph to illustrate proof that Ukraine, allegedly, implements helicopters with UN markings (in the Donbass area). However, this is the first time that Stopfake has encountered the use of a fake photo in a meeting of high-level officials.
