StopFake is proud to announce Bratislava as our next stop!
It’s an amazing opportunity to learn more about fake news, how to spot it and how to counter disinformation.
This year, StopFake is celebrating its 10th anniversary. To celebrate, the famous Ukraine-based team of fact-checkers has teamed up with Google News Initiative to go on tour. We will share skills and tips to educate the current and next generation of journalists, fact-checkers and teachers.
The event will be held in collaboration with Demagog.sk, the leading fact-checking organization in Slovakia.
The training will be conducted by Viktoriia Romaniuk, editor of StopFake,
with Veronika Jursová Prachárová, Pavol Valík, and Veronika Frankovská (Demagog.sk).
An offline session is set for 3 – 6 PM on December, 4. The training will be held in English.
Working journalists, lecturers, teachers, and students will receive priority, but we should still have room for other curious minds.
To apply, please register for the training using this Google form.
The deadline is 2 December 2024. Priority candidates will be informed immediately of their successful registration.
See you all!
