The organization allegedly affected is not based in Copenhagen and has not heard anything about such an incident.
On the night of September 5-6, Russian partisans (as they are called by propagandists — editor’s note) allegedly set fire to the warehouse of the volunteer organization «Autukrania biler til Ukraine» in Copenhagen — such news is spread by pro-Russian sources. Bulletproof vests, thermal imaging devices, helmets, and vehicles, which the volunteers planned to hand over to the Ukrainian Armed Forces, apparently were destroyed in the fire. The Russian partisan movement is called responsible for the sabotage — publications note that the organization is growing rapidly, which allegedly allows the participants to effectively oppose providing aid to Ukraine. They have allegedly carried out dozens of destructions of military and humanitarian aid, as well as logistical, infrastructural and other objects in Germany, Bulgaria, Poland, and Moldova, in one way or another related to the war in Ukraine.
However, this news is made up. First of all, the propagandists misspelled the name of the organization, whose warehouse was supposedly destroyed in the fire. «Auta Ukrainaa» (not «Autukrania») and «Biler til Ukraine» are two different organizations, and only the second one is actually based in Denmark. Both organizations provide aid to Ukraine — «Auta Ukrainaa» mainly transfers humanitarian goods for the military and IDPs, and «Biler til Ukraine» supplies Ukrainian Armed Forces with cars and trucks. «Auta Ukrainaa» operates in Finland — neither the organization’s social networks nor Finnish sources wrote about the arson of the warehouse. We also contacted the representatives of «Biler til Ukraine», who were very surprised by this so-called news and completely denied such an incident. Information about the arson of the «Biler til Ukraine» warehouse also did not appear in any Danish media. In addition, the organization operates in another city in Denmark (which the organization representatives asked to conceal for security reasons), not in Copenhagen.
It is likely that the information about the activities of the so-called resistance movement in Europe is fabricated, and in certain cases it is more about sabotage by the Russian special services, and not some mythical underground groups. Previously, we refuted a number of similar fakes about the «partisan movement in Europe» in the stories Fake: Ukrainian Refugees «Set Fire to the Pharmaceutical Warehouse of Farmacol in Poland» and Fake: Ukrainian Saboteurs Destroyed a Warehouse with Fuel for the Armed Forces in Romania.
