Despite the unsubstantiated statements of the Russian Defenсe Ministry, Russia continued shelling Ukraine even after the US President talked on the phone with the Kremlin leader. Energy infrastructure in the Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions was shelled. In total on the night of March 18-19, 2025, 2 Iskander-M ballistic missiles and four S-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles, as well as 145 Shahed strike UAVs were launched over Ukraine.
Based on the claims of the Russian Defense Ministry, users are spreading the information that Russia allegedly shot down its drones over Ukraine, which were supposed to hit energy infrastructure facilities in the Mykolaiv region.

The statements of the Russian Defense Ministry are once again not supported by any evidence and are an outright lie. On the night of March 18-19, 2025 (after a phone conversation between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin), Russia carried out yet another massive attack on Ukraine using missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). In particular, 2 Iskander-M ballistic missiles and four S-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles were launched, as well as 145 Shahed strike UAVs. Donetsk, Sumy, Odesa, Poltava, Dnipropetrovsk, Kyiv and Chernihiv regions were affected by the Russian attack.
After Putin’s non-existent “ban on attacking energy facilities,” on the evening of March 18, an industrial zone was shelled in the cities of Kramatorsk and Slavyansk in the Donetsk region. In Slavyansk, residents claim that part of the city was left without electricity. Civilians were injured. And in the morning of March 19, the Russians hit the railway power system in Dnipropetrovsk region with drones, damaging infrastructure.
Also in the Sumy region, the Russian army attacked a hospital with drones, 7 explosions were recorded. In the Sumy region, a two-story apartment building was destroyed, one person died. Attacks were also carried out in the Kyiv region — UAV debris fell in Obukhiv, Boryspil, Fastiv, and Bucha districts. As a result of the attack in Buchanan district, 20 two-story houses, 15 private houses, and 19 cars were damaged.
