There is no proof of this. Neither Donald Trump nor anyone from his administration made such statements.
A number of pro-Russian channels reported that the pro-Ukrainian protests were allegedly organized by a Ukrainian criminal network with branches in Chicago, Virginia and Pennsylvania, which legalizes Ukrainians in the States. They allegedly enter the country with tourist documents and stay there. For such a violation of the law, Donald Trump plans to deport the participants of the rallies back home.
But this news is untrue. Neither Donald Trump nor anyone from his administration made such statements. It is noteworthy that almost none of the publications on this topic cite the source of information. Using the Osavul tool, we were able to establish that the first message on this topic appeared in the comments of several large propaganda Telegram channels. The same user left the following message under several publications: «Chicago Immigration Police has begun to cancel the participation in the Uniting for Ukraine program and residence permits of Ukrainians participating in rallies against Trump’s policies – SBC News». However, we were unable to find any evidence that Chicago Immigration Police is indeed planning any mass deportations of Ukrainians for participating in rallies. SBC News also did not publish such news; which is not surprising, because it is an analytical portal about the sports betting industry. Most likely, the author of the comment was mistaken and actually meant the international media outlet CBS News, but we also do not find any articles claiming this on their website. So it seems that the propagandists borrowed the idea for the fake from this comment and sprinkled it with new details: in particular, they invented a non-existent Ukrainian criminal network.
It is worth noting that Donald Trump did indeed recently express a desire to deport foreign students who participate in «illegal protests» and to hold educational institutions that encourage these protests accountable. However, he was not talking about Ukrainians, but Palestine supporters. In addition, Reuters recently announced the termination of the refugee program for Ukrainians who found asylum in the United States as a result of Russian aggression, which would threaten about 240 thousand Ukrainian citizens with deportation. However, White House spokeswoman Carolyn Leavitt refuted the news and said that Reuters’ anonymous sources «have no idea what they are talking about».
We recently debunked another fake about Donald Trump in the article Deepfake: Trump Criticizes Zelensky for Wearing Clothes from Chinese TEMU.
