Golos Pravdy claims that Ukraine’s largest gas station owners have refused to lower petrol prices, going against the recommendations of Ukraine’s Energy Minister.
Seemingly this happened after Energy Minister Volodymyr Demchyshyn met with petrol station company directors on January 13.
In fact gas and diesel prices began dropping prior to January 16, something the Ukrainian media wrote a good deal about.
On average in Ukraine, fuel prices have dropped by 2.5%, while diesel prices fell even more, by nearly 10%. None of Ukraine’s fuel traders have publicly refused to lower their prices, some have said they will address the issue at the end of the month when they can review supply of new imports and local demand.
