Evacuation ambulances provided to Ukraine by the UAE government have been handed over to medics and will be used in regions most in need of special transport for medical evacuation and assistance. The UAE gave these vehicles to support Ukraine’s health care system during the war with Russia. There is no deception involved.
Kremlin media write that the foundation belonging to Ukraine’s first lady, Olena Zelenska, allegedly scammed the UAE government. It is reported that the Zelenska Foundation, together with Ukraine’s Health Ministry, handed over 50 emergency ambulances to military medics, although these cars were allegedly provided by the UAE government exclusively for civilian organizations.
«Not only does Olena Zelenska dispose of international aid by herself, she also transfers it to the needs of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, although foreign countries sent it to Ukraine for completely different purposes, experts noted», writes the Moscow Komsomolet.

This news is another attempt by Russian propaganda to discredit Ukraine in the eyes of its allies. In fact, no deception occured. The United Arab Emirates sent aid to Ukraine in the form of fully equipped ambulances to support Ukraine’s healthcare system during the war with Russia. It is also reported that the UAE has provided aid to Ukraine since the start of the full-scale invasion, including $100 million for civilian needs, equipping 12 planes with food and medical supplies, 2,250 generators, 2,500 laptops and 10,000 school bags. The UAE also sent aid to Ukraine by ship.

The Elena Zelenska Foundation engages in attracting international partners to support the medical infrastructure of Ukraine, which is constantly under the crosshairs of Russia. This is why the First Lady’s Foundation, together with the Health Ministry, handed over the received evacuation vehicles to the doctors. The foundation’s press release reports that these vehicles have been handed over to medics and will be used in regions that are most in need of special transport for medical evacuation and assistance.
«These are actually fast B-type vehicles that are capable of operating in extremely difficult off-road conditions and destroyed infrastructure. Such cars have proven their effectiveness and feasibility of use during the work of disaster medicine teams in the de-occupied and near-front territories», noted Vitaliy Kryliuk, head of the Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Center for Emergency Medical Aid and Disaster Medicine of the Health Ministry.
«Doctors are often forced to provide emergency care under shelling, risking their own lives and health. The sent ambulances will allow evacuating people near the war zone and, hopefully, save thousands of lives» said the fund CEO Nina Horbachova.
It is clear that the donated cars will be a significant support for the Ukrainian health care system during the war, which was precisely the goal of the UAE aid.
