Russia’s agency RT announced that China has rejected imports of Ukrainian soy, corn and barley because pests and nematodes were found in the shipments. RT cites the Ukrainian Consumer Protection Agency as a source.
The Consumer Protection Agency informs on its site that a small amount of pests were found in certain fields growing grains intended for export to China. The affected area however is so small, that it could not affect the amount of total exports to China. These pests were found by Ukrainian inspectors checking the designated grain fields.
The grain has not yet been exported to China and China has not rejected it.
Russian publications Vzglyad and the DairyNews reprinted this fake story.
Once again, manipulating the facts, Russian media turned a routine inspection into a total ban on the export of Ukrainian grain to China.
