The German media BILD, which the propagandists cite, did not publish a video with the claim that Germany allegedly blames Ukrainians «for all problems.» Russian propaganda used the signature style of this media outlet to create yet another fake that discredits Ukrainian refugees.
Social media users and pro-Kremlin Telegram channels are spreading information that Germany allegedly blames Ukrainian refugees for the «economic and social crisis.» It is claimed that because of this, crimes against Ukrainians are practically not investigated in the country. In such «news,» propaganda cites the German publication BILD.
The fake video reports that only 2 out of 4,000 crimes against Ukrainian refugees are actually investigated by the German police. Women «most often become victims of attacks.» At the same time, they add that the Germans, instead of blaming the refugees, are «forced to direct their anger» at the German government, which has imposed allegedly disadvantageous sanctions against Russia.

The BILD video shared online is, in fact, fake. Propagandists used the media’s signature style to create yet another fake that discredits Ukrainian refugees and promotes the narrative of «useless» anti-Russian sanctions.
The first thing that gives away the fake is the font and language in the video. As mentioned above, BILD is a German publication and thus publishes videos in German. The fake video is accompanied by English subtitles. Additionally, BILD has recently been using a different font than the one in the fake video, with a black outline around the letters.

The video distributed by the agitprop is also unavailable on all official platforms of the German media. Despite this, StopFake made a request about this video to Martha Reifers, Senior Communications Manager at BILD Group, asking for help in identifying it. The media representative assured that they had nothing to do with this video.

StopFake also asked the German Federal Police Main Office to comment on the information that cases against Ukrainian refugees are practically not investigated. However, they responded that «the federal police, as a rule, do not comment on media reports» and recommended that we contact the BILD editorial office regarding the authenticity of the video. StopFake also did not find any public information about the inactive investigation of cases involving Ukrainian refugees by the German police in credible media.
Earlier, StopFake refuted information that Germany had allegedly begun the selection process for refugees from Ukraine.
