Russian MFA post on X.com: Zakharova: Zelensky’s appearance in #Auschwitz has caused outrage in Jewish religious circles in Poland. The country’s Сhief Rabbi, Michael Schudrich, said that they considered it a disgrace to be at the same event with a dictator who has tamed (?) Nazis on a leash

We have asked the Chief Rabbi of Poland Michael Schudrich about this alleged statement. We have received the following answer:

Rabbi Schudrich absolutely  never made any such statement . No one is authorized to speak in Rabbi Schudrich’s name and no one made this statement.

This is completely false and fake news.

Such Kremlin’s actions are nothing new. The aim is simple – to sow the mistrust. On one hand, there is the anti-Ukrainian aspect – alleged accusations of Jewish community towards Zelensky of supporting the nazis. On the other hand, it is also meant to reinforce antisemitic tendencies among those who would not agree with such statement. Nevertheless, both narratives are not new in Kremlin’s disinformation playbook.
